Melissa and I were able to spend some time together in the Design District of Dallas, Texas and even though it was 95 degrees out, she didn’t complain once. She was a champion through our entire portrait session and the photos are to die for! I love shooting in an urban setting, with so many textures and colors around every corner and the city-scape did not disappoint!
This girl is like a breath of fresh air. Just five minutes into our time shooting together and I could tell she and I were going to collaborate beautifully.
I was so fortunate to spend some time with Melissa a few months ago when we were on a girl’s weekend get away to The Wilde House in Canton, Texas and enjoyed every minute we had together. (P.S. Check it out- The Wilde House. Jonathan says it's a full time job to convince me not to paint every brick thing in our house black now that I've seen how incredible it can look!)
It did not take long to see that her heart is gold and her words are kind. She has a cheeky sense of humor, bright eyes of optimism about the world, and she speaks with an integrity that shines through. It is almost as though she has a “true north” about her. When she talks about her mom and dad, she speaks with a smile of affection and true respect, as though she actually loves them and likes them. They have sown into her and her brother and in return they are honoring their parents with the lifestyles they’ve chosen to live. It’s pretty cool to see.
And y’all, her sense of style is top notch. She just knows what works. It’s not a trick I have in my bag, so maybe I’m a little impressed with her ability to throw something together so easily. She also strikes poses like a pro. What a queen! She is doing well in every thing she sets her hand to and I can’t wait to see where life takes her.
